Anglo American's total iron ore production in the third quarter of 2024 was 15.75 million tons, up 1% quarter-on-quarter and 2% year-on-year. Among them, the iron ore output of Kumba in South Africa was 9.446 million tons, an increase of 3% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 3%; Brazil's Minas-Rio iron ore production was 6.3 million tonnes, down 2% month-on-month and up 11% year-on-year.
In addition, the total sales volume of iron ore in the third quarter was 15.181 million tons, down 8% month-on-month and 3% year-on-year. Among them, Kumba iron ore sales volume was 8.822 million tons, down 9% month-on-month and 1% year-on-year; Minas-Rio sales volume was 6.359 million tons, down 7% month-on-month and 8% year-on-year.
Anglo American's full-year 2024 production guidance remains unchanged at 58 million to 62 million tonnes (including 35 million to 37 million tonnes at Kumba and 23 million to 25 million tonnes at Minas-Rio).
