The temperature of the steel coil varies according to the production process and production stage:

Cold Rolled Steel Coil details 1
Hot rolled steel coil:
The temperature of the newly produced hot rolled steel coil is high: in the hot rolling process, the heating temperature of the billet is usually about 1100℃ to 1300℃, and the temperature is still very high after the rolled steel coil is formed. For example, the roughing outlet temperature is 1050 ° C to 1100 ° C, the finishing rolling final rolling temperature is 950 ° C to 1000 ° C, the coiling temperature is 650 ° C to 750 ° C, and then air cooling to room temperature. Therefore, the hot-rolled steel coil that has just been produced and has not been completely cooled may have a temperature above 600 ° C and gradually decrease with the extension of the placement time.
Cold rolled coil:
Temperature in the production process: the steel coil may undergo heat treatment processes such as annealing before cold rolling, and the temperature will be reduced during the cold rolling process. For example, in some cold rolling processes, the coiling temperature of steel coils may be controlled at 70 ° C to 80 ° C.
Temperature after production: The temperature of the cold-rolled coil after production is usually close to room temperature, but if it is measured just after production, it may be slightly higher than room temperature, generally around 30 ° C to 50 ° C.
In addition, if the steel coil has been insulated or has just been removed from a high temperature environment, the temperature will be relatively high. In practical applications, if you need to accurately understand the temperature of the steel coil, professional temperature measuring equipment is generally used for measurement.
