Products Description

Hot-dip galvanized coil is corrosion-resistant and durable, and is widely used in construction, transportation, home appliances and other industries. As a professional manufacturer of galvanized products, Wanzhi Steel has two hot-dip galvanizing production lines and can provide hot-dip galvanized steel coils, hot-dip galvanized steel plates, hot-dip galvanized steel strips and other products.

Hot-dip galvanized steel adopts hot-dip galvanizing production process, which can improve the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel. The substrate of hot-dip galvanized steel is hot-rolled steel or cold-rolled steel. The common thickness of hot-dip galvanized steel plate is 0.3mm, 0.4mm, 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.2mm, etc., among which the most commonly used thickness is 0.4mm and 0.5mm.

Characteristics

1. Strong corrosion resistance

The zinc layer of hot-dip galvanized steel has good corrosion resistance, and the zinc layer is thicker. The zinc layer has strong adhesion and hardness. It is not easy to be oxidized and corroded in various climate environments, and has a long service life.

2. Not easy to rust

Galvanized steel is not easy to rust because of the protection of the zinc layer. In a humid environment, the zinc layer is anti-oxidative, which protects the hot-dip galvanized steel from rusting.

3. Durable

Hot-dip galvanized steel can effectively prevent corrosion in highly corrosive environments such as strong alkali/acid, and the zinc layer of hot-dip galvanized steel is not easy to fall off under normal use conditions, and is relatively durable.

4. High strength

Hot-dip galvanized steel has high strength and good wear resistance.

application

1. Construction field

Hot-dip galvanized steel is corrosion-resistant and durable. It is widely used in the construction field. Bridges, buildings and building materials all use hot-dip galvanized steel, such as building steel structures, scaffolding, roof panels, fences, shutters, drainage pipes, etc.

2. Transportation field

In the field of transportation, in this outdoor environment, steel is required to be corrosion-resistant and high-strength, and hot-dip galvanized steel has these characteristics. Therefore, hot-dip galvanized steel is used in highway guardrails, highway signs, street lamp poles, etc., and in railway tracks, line poles, signal poles, etc.

3. Communications and power fields

Galvanized steel can protect equipment in the communications and power fields to operate stably in harsh external environments. For example, transmission towers, line hardware, microwave towers, communication towers, substation facilities, wire casings, cable bridges, high-voltage transmission wires, etc., all use hot-dip galvanized steel.

4. Home appliance field

Hot-dip galvanized steel is widely used in the field of home appliances. Hot-dip galvanized steel is often used in home appliance shells and some parts.

FAQ about

Difference between hot-dip galvanized steel and galvanized steel

The galvanizing of hot-dip galvanized steel is carried out at room temperature, while hot-dip galvanized steel requires the steel to be heated to about 450℃ before galvanizing.

Is hot-dip galvanizing better or cold-dip galvanizing better?

Hot-dip galvanizing and cold-dip galvanizing each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Choosing hot-dip galvanizing or cold-dip galvanizing should consider the application environment, cost and construction requirements. For example, if steel needs to be in a high temperature and highly corrosive environment, hot-dip galvanizing would be more suitable; if cost is considered and the project is small, cold-dip galvanizing with a higher cost can be selected; for construction, hot-dip galvanizing has certain requirements for construction equipment and space, and cold-dip galvanizing construction is relatively flexible.

What are the galvanizing methods?

Currently, there are three galvanizing methods: electrogalvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing and galvanizing.
